Sitting at a bar … SOBER!

Three times within the last nine days I have been at a bar and didn’t drink.

I would in general currently be avoiding bars both to help my sobriety and because of COVID, but we just bought a permanent campsite that has a restaurant and tiki bar on site.

We were up there the last two Saturdays for some renovations and a Thursday in the middle to bring up a load of “stuff” – towels, bedding, etc.

No one was too crazy, but it’s interesting to watch the inhibitions loosen and footing become less sure.

The best part of being sober is not wondering what I did or said last night. What might I have said, or agreed to? Or asked about that I will ask again because I don’t remember?
