Journaling questions to help us make strides

Morning! I’m getting on track with my Christmas Journal:

I want to share the questions with you as I enter this process. I provided the pre-questions that you could copy and paste within the Thinking about Journaling post, and then in 2021 Goals and Goals + Values 2021 I started that pre-work for myself.

Here are the first month of questions:

Week 1 Questions

Write about anything that happened in the past week that felt like movement, growth or progress towards your goal.

What can you acknowledge and celebrate at this stage in your journey?

What were your highs this week? What were your lows?

Be honest, and compassionate, what are your areas for improvement?

What can you do this coming week to make a shift and take the next important step?

Make a list of action items. Does it make sense to add them to your calendar?

Write a power statement –

Week 2 Questions

What are you successes from the past week? What is working for you?

What are your emotional highs for the week?

What empowering thoughts did you have this week?

What diminishing thoughts did you have this week? How can you reframe these?

What are your goals for the up coming week? And can you achieve this?

What are you most grateful for this week?

Write a power statement –

Week 3 Questions

What three experiences from the past week do you feel most grateful for? Do you notice any themes regarding your gratitude? How do you continue to seek out these experiences?

What went well this week and why?

How are you feeling this week? What were you doing when you felt your best? Write down your positive thoughts and how your behavior contributed.

What were your challenges this week? What was in your control? What was out of your control? What can you do in the future to handle this challenge better?

Is there anything you need to do to take better care of yourself?

What empowering thoughts did you have this week?

What diminishing thoughts did you have this week? How can you reframe these?

Make a list of action items. Does it make sense to add them to your calendar?

Write a power statement –

Week 4 Questions

What movement/growth did you make towards your goals this week?

How can you acknowledge and celebrate this growth?

How do you feel this week? Highs? Lows?

Be honest, and compassionate, what are your areas for improvement?

What can you do this coming week to make even a small shift?

Make a list of action items. Does it make sense to add them to your calendar?

Write a power statement –

Week 5 Questions

What successes did you have this week? What is working for you to make this happen?

How are you feeling this week? What were you doing when you felt your best? Write down your positive thoughts and how your behavior contributed.

What empowering thoughts did you have this week?

What diminishing thoughts did you have this week? How can you reframe these?
